The fabrication of the plastic components is subject to very high level requirements referring to sterility, surface quality and most exact dimensions. The precise control technology, patially placed in health care cleanroom, is the basic to satisfy the 100% requirement of the quality check.

Each month 30 injection moulding machines produce 5 million parts like dialyser cases and connectors. Today there are more than 40 MCS hotrunner controllers responsible for the properness of up to 64 cavitiesn.

Fresenius Medical Care prefers the external stand
alone control-technology to keep a maximum of
flexibility with the exchange of the mould. This is the
reason why only stackable controllers MCS12+ are working since 2000. A long term temperature analysis with the visualisation program FECON helps to observe and optimise the process. Fresenius Medical Care uses the software PocketParacon from FELLER ENGINEERING on PDAs with Bluetooth technology. This is a fast and economical way to manage the recipes, download and upload temperature- and parameter-settings.
